Hydrant flushing Spring 2016The City of Woodbury’s Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the City and outlying areas starting Saturday, April 24, 2016. Flushing will be done from 10pm to 7am Sunday through Thursday.

Residents may experience low water pressure and a slight discoloration in their water at this time. If discolored water is experienced, please run your cold water until clear. Flushing will take approximately 4-6 weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Public Notice: City of Woodbury RCA Home Improvement Program – Request for Bids

ALL INTERESTED PARTIES are hereby advised that the City of Woodbury has available, through the Woodbury Economic Development Office, bid specifications for a RCA Home Improvement Program Project. All qualified bidders must be bonded and insured. The City of Woodbury requires a minimum coverage in the amount of $300,000.00 Bodily Injury, $300,000.00 Property Damage and $100,000.00 Workman’s Compensation. Insurance information must be submitted with the bid application.

Bid packets, which include a Contractor Registration Application, a Work Write-Up, Bid Procedures, Non Collusion Affidavit, Standard Specifications and a Proposal Form, are available at the Woodbury Economic Development Office, through the Woodbury Municipal Clerk or can be downloaded from our website at www.woodbury.nj.us. Bid Packets will be available until June 29, 2016. All contractors submitting a proposal must conduct a site visit and fill out the sign-in sheet at the home to be rehabilitated.

The City of Woodbury will receive and open sealed bids for this project on July 7, 2016 at 4 pm in Woodbury’s Municipal Hall’s Council Chambers. The bids are being received on behalf of the homeowner. No Bids will be accepted after the aforementioned date and time. No Bids will be accepted unless they are placed in a sealed envelope clearly stating, on the front of the envelope, the word “BID” as well as the contractor’s name, and the address of the home to be rehabilitated. The City reserves the right to reject any bids that they deem unqualified if they do not meet with the proper requirements.
