Greater Woodbury Arts Council
“Drawing the Community Together”
The mission of the Greater Woodbury Arts Council is to highlight the talents of local artists-from visual and fine artists, to performers, writers, and media artists, both emerging and established – and to create an indelible stamp of the arts in Woodbury and the surrounding communities, by fostering artistic creativity through arts education, events, and arts related projects.
“IMAGINART” COMES TO WOODBURY
IMAGINART is a project created by the Greater Woodbury Arts Council (GWAC) to highlight works of regional artists. GWAC recognizes that ART is an important cultural element in the community and is partnering with the City of Woodbury and Woodbury Main Street to create this exciting exhibit. IMAGINART is a unique art project focusing on original ‘installation artwork’ in designated vacant storefronts on South Broad Street in downtown Woodbury.
In this exhibit, the IMAGINART artists will explore the environment and issues related to the environment by utilizing materials that reflect “green”, such as found objects and recycled/bio-degradable materials. .
