3/15/16: Roadwork has begun on the Cooper & Evergreen project. Expect delays especially during morning and evening commute times. As construction progresses, we will update you with detour information.
3/11/16: The road improvements to the intersection of Cooper Street and Evergreen Avenue are scheduled to begin on or about March 16th. Residents in the immediately affected areas will be notified by the contractor in the coming days. Additional signage will also be provided, and the Woodbury Police will be handling any traffic detours. Please understand that these improvements will ultimately significantly improve the traffic flow for years to come, and that they come as a result of the redevelopment project at the former Woodbury Country Club site and as part of the necessary approvals from the Gloucester County Planning Board.
2/11/16: During this road work schedule, the below 2-week detour route may be instituted. Please be mindful of posted signage and, as always, use caution when driving in and through the construction zone. This detour is only for the roughly 2-week period when Cooper Street must to be shut down. For the remainder of the construction time period, while there may be delays and reduction in lanes, access to both east and west on Cooper will be allowed.
2/9/16: On or around Thursday, February 11, 2016, there will be road work with traffic detours on Cooper Street and Evergreen Avenue as part of the Country Club redevelopment project. The entire road project is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks. The intersection of Cooper Street and Evergreen Avenue itself may be shut down for a 2-week period. Detour signs will be posted. We will continue to update residents as information becomes available.
