CITY OF WOODBURY SNOW PLOWING GENERAL POLICIES

CITY OF WOODBURY SNOW PLOWING GENERAL POLICIES

Please be advised that as a general practice, the City will plow the roadways when the snowfall reaches 3 inches of accumulation or greater in any singular event. While we make every effort to plow all City Streets and public areas, the initial focus is on the major roadways, intersections, and roads that we know health care and emergency professionals utilize the most. In event of a significant snow event, please be advised that our Department of Public Works will use all resources available to maintain safe driving conditions throughout the City. Please check the City’s website (Woodbury.nj.us) and all social media platforms for updates and information in the times preceding and during any snow events. Thank you.

As per City Code 167-1 Snow/ice must be removed from sidewalks within 10 hours of daylight after the same shall be formed or shall have fallen thereon the City, county or state snowplow has made at least one pass over the bordering road. Owners of corner properties shall also ensure that a path suitable for pedestrian traffic exists from the sidewalk to the curb to each street of the corner.
