All Things Video Games goes solo with a grand re-opening

WOODBURY, NJ— On Wednesday, December 7, 2016 the City of Woodbury will help to celebrate the grand re-opening of All Things Video Games located at 234 S. Broad Street in downtown Woodbury. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 4:30 pm.
After spending two years in a shared space with Luke & Cade’s Toy Chest, All Things Video Games is now going solo.
Store owner, Brent Whealton explains, “Sharing this space with Luke & Cade’s was a great opportunity to help get my business off the ground. I found working together with like-minded people who have the same goals and ambitions as me, made me a better business owner and gave me the confidence to do this on my own.”
Whealton explains that he always had a strong interest in video games, technology, and electronics. He has been buying, selling, and trading video games for about 20 years.
At All Things Video Games, Whealton buys, sells, and trades video games for Nintendo, Sega, PlayStation, Xbox, Turbografx, Atari, Game Boy, and more. He specializes in the refurbishing and reconditioning of retro video games and systems. He also sells replacement cords, wires, accessories, and controllers and also a large selection of video game related collectibles.
Before opening All Things Video Games, Whealton was a Solar System Designer. When the economy slowed down, he lost his job and decided to pursue his dream to open a video game retail business. He did this while finishing his BS Degree in Computer Science.
Whealton opened his first store in Camden but after meeting the owners of the Tiki Tiki Board Game store and seeing the opportunities that existed in Woodbury, he decided to move in with Luke & Cade’s Toy Chest. Whealton states, “I think what impressed me the most about Woodbury is that everyone here was very nice and they contributed greatly to others within the community. I could see that the business owner and the residents are truly dedicated to always making Woodbury a better place to live and conduct business in.”
Whealton continues, “So, when Luke & Cade’s decided to move down the street, I knew I had a great opportunity to expand my part of the store and keep my success here going. I have no desire to leave Woodbury. The City has been good to me and I am proud to be a part of the merchant mix.”
