THE SKETCH CLUB’S 2017 SEASON OPENING: THE MUSIC MAN

This family-friendly classic is the story of fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill and his attempt to con the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the town librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. Please be advised that as a general practice, the City will plow the roadways when the snowfall reaches 3 inches of accumulation or greater in any singular event. While we make every effort to plow all City Streets and public areas, the initial focus is on the major roadways, intersections, and roads that we know health care and emergency professionals utilize the most. In event of a significant snow event, please be advised that our Department of Public Works will use all resources available to maintain safe driving conditions throughout the City. Please check the City’s website (Woodbury.nj.us) and all social media platforms for updates and information in the times preceding and during any snow events. Thank you.

As per City Code 167-1 Snow/ice must be removed from sidewalks within 10 hours of daylight after the same shall be formed or shall have fallen thereon the City, county or state snowplow has made at least one pass over the bordering road. Owners of corner properties shall also ensure that a path suitable for pedestrian traffic exists from the sidewalk to the curb to each street of the corner.

Solicitor’s Permit

The City of Woodbury has certain guidelines that all solicitors/canvassers must follow before they will be granted a “Solicitor’s Permit”.  If approved they will be required to wear the proper identification badge and have a Woodbury Solicitor’s Permit to present if asked.  If anyone is soliciting in your neighborhood please call City Hall for verification 856.845-1300, X121; or report any suspicious activity of this sort to the non-emergency Woodbury Police Department at 856.845.0065.
